Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh : TVS Motor Company, India’s premier two-wheeler manufacturer today reached another milestone with the formal opening of its new manufacturing facility at Nalagarh, Solan district in Himachal Pradesh. This new facility is designed to support the production of the company’s world-class two wheelers.

TVS Motor Company’s initial investment in this plant is estimated at Rs. 120 crores with a production capacity of 4,00,000 motorcycles a year which can easily be scaled up to 6,00,000 per annum.

With the launch of the this plant, TVS Motor Company will have reduced cost of transportation of vehicles as this facility will cater to all the states in northern India, and parts of central India. This will also help the company to improve their delivery time to the vast dealer network already established in these areas and help the company increase sales.

This facility will be another example of TVS Motor Company’s excellence in manufacturing in India. This facility, like its existing plant at Hosur and Mysore will incorporate total flow management and just-in-time methodology. The talented and skilled team members and skill enhancement programmes are being reinforced to deliver top quality products for the discerning customer.

Further, this unit is eligible for fiscal benefits such as exemption from excise duty on two wheelers and income tax on the profit accruing from this unit.
