The agreement will provide Argentum Engineering Design the thrust to allign itself to Global Standards. The unique agreement covers a services partnership and Centre of Excellence, which will show live processes.

New Delhi- Dassault Systemes (DS), a global leader in 3D PLM, and Argentum Engineering Design (AED), an auto component manufacturing and designing firm, on Monday entered into a one year MOU to provide automobile component solutions for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

“India is fast becoming a hub for auto manufacturing and design. This MOU, a step in the right direction will propel the Indian Auto industry towards innovation and enhance efficiency.” said Mr BVR Subbu, Founder and Board Member, Argentum Motors Pvt. Ltd."We do not just want to manufacture for international OEMs but also provide value added services to our customers," he said.

Dassault Systemes (DS) and Argentum Engineering Design (AED) have come together to blend their capacities and serve their common audience in the auto space in a synchronized manner. Entering into a one year MOU with Argentum Engineering Design, Dassault Systemes is all set to cater to its audience in an even better way.

"Pressures on product manufacturing companies to collapse cycle times, improve productivity, achieve new levels of quality at a substantially reduced cost is forcing them to integrate, innovate and digitise all operations. The alliance between Dassault Systemes & Argentum Engineering has created that highly skilled profile which the Global customers require to attain integration and innovation platforms," said Mr. S.D. Pradhan, CEO of Argentum Engineering Design.

Center of Excellence

Dassault Systemes will extend its expertise to the Center of Excellence (CoE) set up by Argentum Engineering Design at their facility in Surajpur, near Greater Noida. The CoE would be a true bridge between Dassault Systemes PLM and AED forces that will develop and implement solutions for Powertrain in Automotive and other industries. AED's expertise and skills would accelerate PLM deployment and would enable access to new markets on industries jointly selected with DASSAULT SYSTEMES.

“The Centre of Excellence would create a pool of trained persons who would be used by Argentum’s customers for providing powertrain solutions. In the next three to four years, we would be looking to train 700-800 people,” Pradhan said. Argentum Engineering Design currently, employs 50 professionals and by the end of the year would have a headcount of 250.

“In the changing global scenario, India has become a major player in the auto space. We are extending our skills and expertise to propel Argentum Engineering Design to enable it, reach greater heights by realizing mutual synergies.” said Mr Christian Nardin, President, Dassault Systemes Asia. The software is an improvement on the computer aided design (CAD) concept. It provides a 3D vision of the entire lifecycle of a product from conception to maintenance and recycling."This will enable the testing of a car's ergonomics before it is built," Nardin said.

"We should be up and running by next month," said Subbu, speaking about Argentum motors.

“Automotive Industry in India has matured and its Design & Manufacturing capabilities are well accepted by the rest of the world. Focus on Innovation, quality improvement and lower costs have created that unique advantage for India. In the next few years, India will become a major player in global automotive design. By setting up this Centre of Excellence and partnering with Dassault systemes a unique combination of partnership, AED expects to play an important role in this evolution” said Mr. Ajay Singh Founder and the Chairman of the Board of Argentum Motors Pvt.
