As per the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers Association, the production of Machine Tools in India has seen a growth of 15% in 2007 over the previous year. It is evident that demand for Machine Tools in India is growing rapidly since 2002-2003. It is showing signs of sustenance that will last for next several years, thanks to the rapid surge in the manufacturing activity, especially in the Automobile and Auto component sectors. Indian Machine Tool industry has further invested in technology and human capital to greatly enhance capacity to meet the growing needs.

Die & Mould industries in India have the strong relation with the growth of technology for Automobile and Electric products in relation with Computer, cell phone, home appliance and so on. Now in India, in these industries, big change is taking place which means "Expansion of Demand in Indian Domestic Market" and "Strong requirement for Manufacturing base for the market abroad" which require our end user to go to the higher accuracy with higher speed than before.  To have a comparison the Indian Tool room Industry is at present less than 10% of that of Japan or China.
