ENERGEX 2008: From 26th to 28th September 2008 at St John Vestry Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Trichy 

Chennai: India has undergone a paradigm shift due to its competitive edge in the world economy. In terms of size, the economy has just crossed dollars one trillion mark. In the present scenario, India is both a major energy producer and consumer. India currently ranks as the world's eleventh greatest energy producer, accounting for about 2.4% of the worlds total annual energy production, and as the worlds sixth greatest energy consumer, accounting for about 3.3% of the worlds total annual energy consumption.

Trichy, with its fast growing cluster of energy equipment manufacturing units is set to consolidate its position as the "Energy equipment and fabrication capital of India". Energex 2005 was held in September 2005 in Trichy to showcase the potential of Trichy as a Major Engineering hub and as the Energy Equipment Capital of India. Energex 2005 was an outstanding success with 50+ exhibitors and 3000+ participants attending the three days event. Business worth of Rs 200 Crore was generated during the first edition of the exhibition.

With the success of the first edition of Energex , CII Trichy Zone is organizing the second edition of the signature event "Energex 2008",  a three days Energy Excellence Exhibition" from 26th to 28th September 2008 at St John Vestry Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Trichy, India.

Energex 2008 will be yet another excellent opportunity to promote the latest in energy and infrastructure products and services in a market that is set for growth.

The event also includes a one and a half day conference on "Advanced Technologies in Power Generation", with a theme of "Power to Power the World" on 26th & 27th September at Hotel Sangam, Trichy.

The main objective of this exclusive conference is to explore innovative technologies for environmental friendly and safer manufacturing practices and equipments and to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and for discussions about the future power generation technologies. It also strives to discuss on the vital issues and to illustrate the possible ways of meeting the technical challenges faced today in Power industry
