IMTMA - SIEMENS PRODUCTIVITY CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS 2008 & PRODUCTIVITY SHOP - concurrent exhibition at the Productivity Summit 2008

 Bangalore: The Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) will be organising the third Productivity Summit on 8-9 August 2008 at The Ashok Hotel, New Delhi.

Designed to highlight learning through case studies, Productivity Summit 2008 will bring together productivity 'Gurus', champions and aspiring leaders on a common platform to share experiences, ideas and thoughts on new challenges facing productivity in metalworking manufacturing industries.

The key objective of Productivity Summit 2008 is to create a ripple effect in productivity enhancement in the Indian manufacturing industry.

Productivity Summit 2008 will be spread over five technical sessions and will present keynotes on each session theme from experts in manufacturing productivity:
    * Manufacturing system redesign
    * Better asset utilisation
    * Optimising metalworking process
    * Productivity through quality improvement
    * Productivity improvements in SME sector

There will be a fun-filled special evening entertainment programme on Day 1 for the delegates.

HAILING PRODUCTIVITY CHAMPIONS - “IMTMA - SIEMENS PRODUCTIVITY CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS 2008”

The highlight of Productivity Summit 2008 will be the 'IMTMA - SIEMENS Productivity Championship Awards' – to recognise and reward productivity champions for their outstanding contribution in achieving superior performance through sustained productivity improvement. As in 2006 & 2007, Siemens has partnered with IMTMA in instituting the Productivity Championship Awards for 2008.

From around 250 entries of case studies received for the awards competition, the top three in each stream will be short listed for live case study presentations at the Productivity Summit 2008. The winners selected by an independent jury will be hailed as Productivity Champions and awarded the IMTMA - SIEMENS Productivity Championship Awards.

Case studies of the best productivity improvement projects implemented by Indian companies will be presented in each session. These will compete for the IMTMA - SIEMENS Productivity Championship Awards 2008.

PRODUCTIVITY SHOP

A concurrent exhibition at the Productivity Summit 2008 – 'Productivity Shop', promises to be a one-stop show window for latest innovations in productivity improvements in the metalworking manufacturing industry, displayed in the form of publications, equipment, product samples, CAD / CAM software, etc.

Productivity Shop will be an ideal platform to interact on one-to-one basis with leading players in the field of metalworking manufacturing industry.

The summit will bring together individuals from varied segments of the Indian manufacturing industry – Automotive, Tool rooms, Machine tools, Aerospace, Defence and Railway establishments, Pumps & Valves, Consumer durables, General engineering and other manufacturing industries. Over 600 delegates from a wide cross section of metal working industries all over India are expected to participate at this summit. Participating delegates will comprise CEOs, Senior Executives, Practicing engineers, R&D Specialists, Consultants, Industry Experts, Technologists, Middle management personnel and Supervisors.

REGISTRATION
Registration charges will be Rs.8500/- per participant for IMTMA Member Companies, Rs.10000/- per participant for Large & Medium Companies and Rs.7500 per participant for SSI Companies, which includes Summit proceedings documented on CD, Lunches & Gala Dinner on day 1 with special evening entertainment programme.

To register your delegates to the Productivity Summit 2008 please return the attached 'Registration Form', along with demand draft/payable-at-par cheque in favour of Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association, payable at New Delhi to IMTMA's Gurgaon office.

Participating organisations must pre-register their delegates with advance payment of delegate fee. Further details of the Productivity Summit 2008 will be sent on receipt of attached registration form.

Delegate fee is non-refundable, however, organisations may change their nominations.

Discount: A discount of 10% will be offered to companies deputing 5 or more delegates.
