BANGALORE : CII is organizing a 2-day seminar on CAD, CAM, CAE and Rapid Prototyping (RP) – the powerful and flexible tools for Product Design and Development, by bringing together the best expertise available in the country today on this platform. The seminar is scheduled for 26-27 June 2007, at Bangalore.

 The main objectives of the seminar are: to develop an understanding of the subject and application of virtual prototyping, and its’ impact on our way of working in the R&D and engineering functions; to see various prototyping applications through live models and case studies; and to introduce participants to the experts and practitioners who are leaders in implementing virtual prototyping. 

 The demonstration session during the seminar will give insights into the potential of the tools and their applications for developing future products. The seminar should be attended by designers, engineers, production and manufacturing heads and people from academia who are interested in this subject.

 CAD, CAM, CAE and Rapid Prototyping (RP) are powerful and flexible tools for Product Design and Development. The development of a simulated prototype of a future system is very effective for visualising the system through its’ design and development phases and provide timely feedback to prevent field failures. Another challenge before the industry is the need to cut down the lead-time for development to meet the fast changing market requirement for new products.
