Five Indian Machine Tool Companies are among the top 115 Machine Tools companies of the world

Metal Working Insiders Report published the list of top 115 Machine Tool companies across the world based on their financial results.  Five Indian Machine Tool companies found place in the list. With a turn over of 98.1 million US Dollar Ace Micromatic Group is placed at the 83rd position. Ace Micromatic Group, the largest machine tool builder in India has Ace Designers, Ace Manufacturing Systems, Micromatic Grinding , Pragati and Micromatic in their group. As the single largest Machine tool company from India BFW is placed at the 92nd position with a turn over of 60.9 million US Dollars.

HMT the public sector Machine Tool Company of India with a revenue of 53.9 million US Dollars is at the 99th position in the Metal Working Insiders Report. LMW, Coimbatore with revenue of 46.8 Million US Dollars is at the 103rd position in the list and Jyoti CNC Automation, Rajkot with 28.8 million US Dollars is at 110th positions.

It is interesting to remember that Jyoti CNC Automation Pvt. Ltd has acquired Huron Graffenstaden, a France-based high-precision CNC machine manufacturer, valued at Rs 240 crore, in an all-cash deal. Huron with a revenue of 55.1 million US Dollars is shown at the 98th position in the report.

Yamazaki Mazak of Japan is the largest Machine Tool Builder of the world with a whopping revenue of 2165 million US Dollars. Mazak is followed by Trumph and Guildmeister of Germany in the 2nd and 3rd positions with revenues of 1882 and 1669 million US Dollars respectively.

The Global machine tool production is estimated to be of US Dollars 70 billion in 2007, an 18% growth over the 2006 figures. Japan was the largest Machine Tool producing country with a revenue of 14443 Million US Dollars followed by Germany with a revenue of 12725 Million US Dollars. China remained the largest consumer of Machine Tools worth 15.1 Billion US Dollars and imported Machine Tools worth 6900 Million US Dollars in 2007.
