It has a group turnover of Euro 140 million with multi-location production facilities in Europe. In India, Koki's Transmission Shifting Systems are being used in the Indian market where the OEM's are importing the Gear Boxes from Europe, says Mr. Bernd Beltrame CEO, Koki Technik Transmission Systems.

Best Group is a 35 year old group and is a major player in the India market for Control Cables in the passenger car segment manufactured by Madhusudan Auto Limited, Gurgaon. The group is also a leading exporter with over 50% of its Cables production exported to Italy, France, Germany, Romania, Slovakia, Turkey etc. Present Group turnover is Rs.100 crores.

Also, with this tie-up, the Automotive Division of Best Group is moving up the value chain from being a manufacturer of Control Cables Systems to a manufacturer of Transmission Drive Line Solutions, adds Mr.Jain.

India, like Europe is a Manual Transmission driven market. Other major automotive markets globally like the US and South East Asian including Japan is primarily an Automatic Transmission market. Hence the technology evolution in Europe in the manual transmission domain is continuous with intensive R&D and innovation.
