Eicher Motors to set up world class training center at NIE , Mysore Print E-mail

Eicher has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NIE and the Government of Gujarat

Mysore: Indian commercial vehicle giant Eicher Motors will establish a full fledged training center at National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysore , in the next two months.

Eicher Motors intends to initiate job-oriented training and education programmes to equip students, faculty members, industry personnel and other learners with adequate and updated technological know-how in the area of automobile engineering to meet the growing demands of skilled manpower in India.

NIE-Eicher Knowledge Centre

The training center which will be named "NIE-Eicher Knowledge Centre" will provide young students with adequate and updated technological know-how in the area of automobile engineering and also practically demonstrate to them the most scientific way of repair, maintenance and overhaul of commercial vehicles, and modern manufacturing techniques.

With India fast becoming the global destination for industrial engineering and more specifically automobile engineering, Eicher Motors , a company with total turnover of Rs. 2,500 crore, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Gujarat Government and NIE to set up the training center  as part of its corporate social responsibility programmes.

Mr. A. Ramasubramanian, CEO of  Eicher Motors also added that another such training center would be set up at Kubernagar in Ahmedabad in association with the Government of Gujarat.

Gujarat government was represented by S.A. Pandav, Regional Deputy Director of Department of Employment and Training and P.L. Raval, adviser, ITI and NIE was represented by its Director S.L. Ramachandra and Prof. G.L. Shekar.
