Bangalore: EDST, India's largest Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Solutions and 3D Visual Simulation provider, with its headquarters in Bangalore, today announced their strategic partnership and tie – up with Z-Corp – maker of the world's fastest multicolor 3d printers. Z-corp develops, manufactures and markets 3D printing machines that produce hand-held models quickly, easily and inexpensively from computer-aided design (CAD) and other digital data.

The award winning 3D printers from Z-Corp have a unique technology to affordably produce high quality, full color physical models. This cutting-edge technology supports a full line of 3D printers that create physical models from CAD data by using an inkjet print-head to deposit a liquid binder that solidifies layers of powder. These 3D printers deliver speed, low operating costs and high-quality with high color definition models that product developers need to compete in today's market place.

Commenting on Indian market, Mr. Benjamin Leung, Regional Manager- Z-corp said India is our key focus and our partnership with EDST is significant because of their large footprint in the education, design, and manufacturing segments in India. Our technology enables designers to bring their plans from the computer screen to their hands in the matter of few hours. As the number of 3D software users has been increasing, and will continue to grow, we fully anticipate a strong demand for 3D printing. We are very pleased to partner with EDST as they are a leading PLM solutions provider to varied industry segments, working with more than 650 customers throughout India. Our collaboration with EDST is strategic and aimed towards serving client needs in the emerging markets.

"With our strategic alliance with Z-Corporation, we have expanded our solutions portfolio and we are determined to provide maximum value to our customers. Based on this association, we intend to address other high potential segments, like medical, packaging, metal casting, consumer goods, architecture, education & research", said Mr. Prashant Pawar- Country Head – Marketing, EDST.

Apart from commercial applications, colleges and universities around the world are increasingly adopting 3D printing to put physical objects into the hands of the students who conceived them, bringing the design education process to its logical conclusion. 3D printing technology has given new great ways to teach engineering, medical, architecture, chemistry and fine arts. By rapidly transforming ideas into real-world objects firmly engages developing minds while exposing them to advance technologies that will propel their careers. Students can further use physical examples of the design work to make a powerful impression during campus recruitment.

Z Corporation 3D printers are easy to install and operate in any standard office or lab environment. With just few hours of training, you can single- handedly operate a Z Corporation 3D Printer. There is no need for a dedicated operator. Each Z Corporation 3D printing system is designed for use by multiple operators with limited expertise, which enhances accessibility to the equipment within your organization.
