An Exclusive Japanese Outsourcing and Partnership Opportunity for the Indian Auto Component Industry

November 26-27, Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai

Chennai: The ever increasing capability of the Indian auto component industry to successfully integrate with Japanese automotive supply chain has motivated the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) to join hands in promoting a new opportunity on outsourcing and creating partnerships between the two countries. For this reason an exclusive  "Japanese Procurement Exhibition" for the Indian Auto Component Industry is being organized on the 26th and 27th November 2008 at Chennai Trade Centre in Hall No 2.

This exhibition will present immense opportunities to the participating Indian companies to showcase their capabilities and skills to the Japanese delegation for possible business opportunities between the two nations.

The exhibition is spread over 1500 sq mtrs of area where more than 55 Indian and Japanese companies will be participating.

More than 22 Japanese companies will be displaying their products that they are keen to procure from the Indian Auto Component Industry. Some of the Japanese companies who are participating are:

Aloka Co. Ltd, Daiichi Jitsugyo Asia Pte Ltd, DENSO Haryana Pvt. Ltd., Hitachi Ltd, Honda Siel Cars India (Nissin India and Showa India), IHI Corporation, Ishida India Private Ltd, Mikuni India Private Limited, Mitsuba Sical India Limited, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd., Mitutoyo South Asia Pvt. Ltd., Motherson Sumi Systems Limited (Calsonic Kansei Motherson and Motherson Techno Tools Ltd.), NSK-ABC Bearings Ltd., NTN Bearing Singapore (PTE) Ltd., NYK Logistics (India) Ltd., Renault Nissan Technology & Business Centre India Private Limited (RNTBCI), Sodick Engineering Service (Thailand) Co. Ltd., Stanzen Toyotetsu India Pvt. Ltd., Takata India Pvt. Ltd., The Association for Overseas Technical Scholarships (AOTS), Toshiba Machine Co Ltd,Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd.,

Similarly over 30 Indian auto component manufactures will be showcasing and displaying their capabilities to the Japanese companies as well as to the visiting delegation from Japan. Some of Indian companies who are participating are:

Amtek Group, Caparo, GNA, Guru Nanak Auto, IP Rings, LGB, Rane Group, Hi-Tech Gears, Napino, Paranjape, Shivam Autotech, Southern Auto Castings to name a few.

In order to provide a larger opportunity to other component manufacturers, this exhibition will also be open for visitors who can attend during the following hours:
Wednesday: November 26th -12.30 pm - 6 pm
Thursday: November 27th - 9.30 am - 4.00 pm

Highlights of the exhibition

- Indian and Japanese auto component companies will be attending a networking meeting for possible co-operation and business opportunities between the two nations.
- A seminar is also being organised on 26th November at the Chennai Trade Centre for the Japanese Exhibitors and Delegation to brief them about the Indian Auto component Industry's status and how India can be a partner for sustainable growth.
- A case study presentation will also be presented during the seminar on the Japanese best practices being followed successfully in India.
- Indian companies will have the opportunity to showcase their capability through completely built up furnished booths that are available in multiples of 9 sq mtrs each.
