Forms & Gears keen on expanding further into US or European markets through international partnerships

Chennai: Asia's leading Fixture design and manufacturing company, Forms and Gears (F&G), is keen on striking an alliance with a US or European company that will help to expand and grow its operations.

With over 35 years of Fixture designing and building experience, F&G supplies Machining Centre Fixtures worldwide to the world's leading Machine Tool and Automobile manufacturers.

Having pioneered the use of high-pressure hydraulic fixtures for Heller machines supplied to Tata Motors in 1997 F&G is planning to leverage on its tie up with Vektec of US, the technology leader in high pressure hydraulics, to gain higher market share in the international Fixture market. F&G's customers today include Toyota, Hyundai, Ford, Cummins, Caterpillar, Maruti Suzuki and Mahindra and Mahindra. The use of F&G Fixtures helps increase productivity and quality, reduces cycle time and decreases operator dependence. Consequently, most automobile plants in India now use F&G's High-pressure Hydraulic Fixtures for their precision engine and transmission components.

Its Machine tool clients include Mazak India and Japan, Makino Asia, Toyoda, NTC -Japan, LMW and BFW.  According to F&G's Managing Director, Mr. Reji Varghese, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) tend to choose F&G rather than set up their own fixture facility because of the company's design capability and customization expertise.

The USD 3 Million Company is strategically located in India's Automobile hub, Chennai and the company has an asset base of about USD 10 Million in the form of land, plant and machinery.

Highly qualified and well experienced design team, in house manufacturing facilities and proven track record in consistently meeting customer expectations coupled with lower cost of design and production would be an attraction to the US or European companies in partnering with Forms & Gears said company sources.
