Seco Tools inaugurates global R&D testing centre in Pune, India |

Pune : Seco Tools India Pvt Ltd, a 100% controlled subsidiary of Seco Tools AB, has set up a new global testing centre in Pune, India. The new tool testing centre will be utilised for conducting extensive tests.
The new tool testing centre was inaugurated on 20th October 2008 by Jonas Jordberg, Sr. Vice President (Technology) of Seco Tools AB, Sweden, in the presence of Leif Larsson, Director Asia-Pacific and Anders Fager, who is the new Managing Director of Seco Tools India.
"India is on the global map for our Research & Development activities. Considering the country's growth potential and a good protection of Intellectual Property Rights, our board approved the decision to set up an R&D centre in India to support the group's future developments," said Thierry Cros, Managing Director of Seco Tools India.
The company's production plant is located in Pune (Maharashtra) and is a global manufacturing and R&D centre of the Seco group.
"Our Pune plant is recognised as one of the 'top' safest among our global production units and having one of the lowest PPM levels. The hard work and professionalism of our employees has turned India into the preferred destination for future relocation of activities of the Seco group," Thierry Cros added.
It was only last year that Seco Tools India Pvt Ltd's global R&D centre was opened in Pune.
