DLW, RCF & RWF exceed production target during April-November 2008 |

New Delhi : Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW) produced 179 diesel locomotives against the target of 164 diesel locomotives whereas Chittranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) produced 111 electric locomotives against the target of 134 electric locomotives during April-November 2008. Rail Coach Factory (RCF) produced 1070 coaches against the target of 1026 coaches where as Integral Coach Factory (ICF) produced 800 coaches against the targets of 800 coaches during the same period. Rail Wheel Factory (RWF) produced 128706 wheels and 55843 axles during the same period against the target of 119892 wheels and 43024 axles during April-November 2008.
During the month of November 2008, CLW, DLW, ICF, RCF and RWF have produced 21 electric locomotives, 27 diesel locomotives, 120 coaches, 132 coaches, 16824 wheels and 7108 axles respectively against the target of 22 electric locomotives, 21 diesel locomotive, 120 coaches, 120 coaches, 14720 wheels and 2792 axels.
The punctuality percentage of mail/express trains was 85.7 per cent in Broad Gauge and 99.8 per cent in Metre Gauge during the month of November 2008 compared to 92.0 per cent and 99.2 per cent respectively during the same period last year.
Railways have realized an amount of Rs. 26.08 crore approximately during the month of November 2008 through ticket checking. |
