Rittal India to invest euro 20 mn in new manufacturing unit Print E-mail

 BANGALORE : Rittal India Pvt Ltd (RIPL), wholly-owned subsidiary of Germany's Rittal GmbH and Co KG, manufacturing enclosure systems, has announced their plan to set up a second manufacturing unit in India. The company, with a 4000 strong Indian customer base and currently employing over 600 people,  will invest euro 20 million in the next six months to set up the plant.

 Friedhelm Loh, owner and chairman of the Friedhelm Loh group of companies, of which Rittal is the flagship company, inaugurated a new office section spread over 6,800 square feet area at the company's existing manufacturing plant at Doddaballapur near Bangalore on Wednesday 27th June. The existing Rittal Plant is 15,000 Sq. meters in size, situated on a 12 acre plot equipped with the latest state of art machinery and paint plant from Germany. This plant in India also exports to other subsidiaries in Asia and Middle East.  Loh said that Rittal was planning to start a second manufacturing plant in India. He said that Rittal's sales in India had grown rapidly to a level of about euro 50 million, 10 years since its inception. The existing plant in India started its operations in November 97.

 Rittal is the world's largest manufacturer of enclosure systems.
