Forbes Marshall, Pune, today announced a Joint Venture with Vyncke Energietechniek n. v. Headquartered in Belgium: forbesvyncke. The MOU was signed by Dr Naushad Forbes and Mr Peter Vyncke in the presence of Mr Rahul Bajaj, Chairman Bajaj Auto Ltd, Mr Paul Breyne, Governor of West Flanders. Mr Jean-Joel Schittecatte, Consul General, Belgium was also present on the occasion.

The new Joint Venture company will cater to a broad spectrum of industrial energy users, namely textiles and garments, pharmaceuticals, breweries and distilleries, food processing and agro industries, tyres and rubber, chemicals and the dairy sector.

Forbes Marshall has a strong presence in the Indian Market through the solutions they provide in Process Efficiency and Energy Conservation. Vyncke’s strength is its experience in combustion technology and biomass energy plants. The businesses of the two companies complement each other and provide a platform to offer the best technology and the lowest cost of ownership. Through this joint venture Indian customers would benefit from a new paradigm – global energy technology- delivered locally by forbesvyncke.  The JV will offer energy plants for process heat and electricity, both multi-fuel (biomass from coarse and fine, coal, industrial waste etc) and multi-media (steam, hot water and electricity).

Applications of this offering are mainly for process heating (steam, hot water and thermal oil) and captive power generation. The technology offers efficient and clean combustion solutions, and has a fully automatic package for the lower capacity boilers. forbesvyncke boilers have the lowest cost of ownership because of high efficiency, minimal residue and low maintenance. They are environment friendly with reduced emissions. The compact skid design ensures that customers spend a minimum on peripheral and civil cost. The state of art combustion technology ensures zero down time for a 24 x 7 operation.

As a result of this joint venture, forbesvyncke would offer Steam, Hot Water Boilers, Thermic Fluid Heaters and Power Plants with patented combustion technologies for Biomass, Coal and Boilers for special fuels like industrial waste and municipal waste and energy plants for the ply industry.

Energy is one of the most important inputs required for economic growth. There is a strong two way relationship between economic development and energy consumption, both being interdependent. India is an equatorial country with agriculture being the main occupation for over 65% of the country’s population. The availability of agricultural byproduct is a big source of energy and a cheap source of biomass available to meet the country’s demand for energy over the next decades. Ample bio-fuels availability and a shift away from fossil fuels drive this demand further. About 40% of the total energy consumption in the country is for industries. The total estimated energy potential from Biomass, is 16000 MWe.

For over six decades, Forbes Marshall has provided process industry with expertise and turnkey solutions to harness, measure and control steam, liquids and gases. An ISO 9001:2000 certified multi-divisional, multi-location organization with joint ventures with world leaders, Forbes Marshall has products that cover the entire spectrum of energy generation and conservation, process automation and control. The company’s three state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities are located at Kasarwadi (Pune), MIDC (Pune) & Hyderabad. Forbes Marshall employs 1000 people across 23 offices in India and international offices in the United States, Canada, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, Egypt, Thailand, Bangladesh, Nepal, Iran, the UAE and Kenya. Forbes Marshall has long invested in R & D, and is today one of the  leaders in  R & D in  Indian engineering industry.

Established in 1912, Vyncke delivers tailor-made energy plants that convert biomass and industrial waste into clean energy. With in-depth experience in combustion technology, boiler construction, automated management and control systems, Vyncke offers complete Biomass, Industrial Waste to Clean Energy solutions all from a single source, viz. design, engineering, manufacturing, installation and commissioning to training and after-sales service. The heart of Vyncke energy plants is its worldwide patented Watercooled Stepgrate Technology, and it is presently is one of the best available combustion technologies that can handle all types of fuel from coarse to fine and from wet to dry. Woodwaste (such as bark, sawdust, chips) and residues from agro and food industry (such as sunflower husks, rice-husks, coconut shells, palm fruit waste, coffee husks, cotton waste and bagasse) are the fuels that are suitable for the energy plants. VYNCKE has manufacturing plants in Belgium, the Czech Republic and China and offices in Brazil, Germany, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. VYNCKE employs 260 Vynckeneers
