Mahindra rides slowdown by indegenising fixtures with Forms and Gears Print E-mail

Chennai: Auto major Mahindra and Mahindra (Auto division) has placed an order on Forms and Gears for the design and manufacture of Scorpio Engine block fixtures for German make, Heller machines.

Mahindra had earlier bought these hydraulic fixtures from Germany, but this time they chose Forms and Gears as their preffered supplier having already bought close to thirty cylinder block and bed plate fixtures in the last year for Scorpio engines from Forms and Gears.

With Design, Engineering and manufacturing costs being much cheaper in India than Europe and Japan, more and more companies all over India, Europe and Japan are looking to Forms and Gears to supply them with Fixtures that are engineered in India and world class in all respects.

Forms and Gears is the only fixture builder in India to have complete facilities for design and engineering, manufacture and prove out on their inhouse machining centres.

Companies like Hyundai, Ford, Maruti, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Mazak, Makino, NTC, Marubeni, and Toyota are known to have partnered with Forms and Gears for developing fixtures.

Forms and Gears has over 37 years of fixture building experience with three factories situated at the Industrial Estate in Guindy, housing one of the largest and best equipped tool room facitlities in the country.
