Texmaco Second Quarter net sales up 18% at Rs 241.52 crore Print E-mail

Kolkata : KK Birla group company Texmaco Ltd has posted 18 per cent growth in net sales at Rs 241.52 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, against the corresponding quarter last fiscal. The company posted a net profit after tax of Rs 22.36 crore for the quarter, which was up by 10.91 percent against the same period last year.

The current order book of the company is around Rs.1,600 crore (Rs.16 billion), which would go up substantially with the release of the railway orders for the current year 2009-10 expected shortly.

The total income for Q2 and H1 does not include the value of free materials of approx. Rs 43 crore and Rs. 112 crore provided to the company by Indian Railways and other customers for some major contracts.

During the quarter, the company successfully concluded a QIP (Qualified Institutional Placement) issue raising Rs. 170.56 crore by issue of 1.64 crore equity shares of Re. 1 each at a premium of Rs 103 per share.
