Minor Fire in Engine Test bed at Mahindra's Nagpur Tractor Factory Print E-mail

Mumbai: A fire accident occured at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd's Nagpur Factory on December 14, 2009. A minor fire broke out at the Nagpur tractor manufacturing factory in the Engine Testing Bed. Though, nobody has been injured in this incident, this had temporarily affected the production.

As per the initial assessment of the Company, the damage is expected to be around Rs. 60 lakhs. This damage is fully covered by insurance and necessary insurance claim is being initiated.

The machine shop and assembly which were temporarily affected have since started functioning.

The Management does not expect the fire to affect the production schedule.
