GS Auto lays Foundation Stone of New Manufacturing Unit at Jamshedpur Print E-mail

Mumbai: Auto component manufacturer, GS Auto International Ltd has laid down the foundation stone for its new manufacturing unit at Jamshedpur. It is being set up at an investment of approximately Rs. 30 crore and commercial production is expected to commence by December 2010.

The new facility will manufacture auto Components for the Commercial Vehicle and passenger vehicle sector. The facility will aid in further diversification to auto components for the passenger vehicle segment.It will enhance the capacity of its Casting Components.

The Company intends to double its existing Casting Components capacity, by the setting of this new unit, at Jamshedpur.

The company currently specializes in Suspension Components ( Machined, Forged and Cast )  for Commercial vehicles (LCVs,  MCVs and HCVs ) and passenger Cars. GS Auto supplies Components to various Indian OEMs including Telco, Ashok Leyland, Volvo, M&M, Delphi Automotive Systems, Maruti Udyog, Swaraj Mazda, Punjab Tractors, Eicher Motors and Hindustan Motors. The company also caters to the after-market segment.

It has a Casting unit ( Ferrous & non-Ferrous ), Forging facility ( Hot and Cold ), Machine shops for Forged Components & Drawn Components and heat & surface treatment facilities.
