Bangalore: Machine tool majors, Gildemeister and Mori Seiki have agreed to join all their sales and service activities, in the traditional USA market and the growth market of India, into one company as of 1 April 2010.

Gildemeister and Mori Seiki are expanding their presence in the fast - growing Indian market and are jointly investing in a new technology centre with a large showroom where extended solutions for the Indian market and as well as products to suit the precise needs and desires of customers will be presented.

The DMG / Mori Seiki India in Bangalore (India) will be responsible for the complete service and support of the entire product portfolios of both manufacturers.

The employee know-how and the technologies of both enterprises complement each other. "Bringing together high-quality technologies and a strong sales and support organisation creates efficiency advantages for everyone," Dr. Masahiko Mori, president of Mori Seiki stated.

The DMG / Mori Seiki USA with registered office in Chicago (USA) will be responsible for customer service, the spare parts business, training measures and technical support among other areas. The two enterprises now want to push sales in the traditional USA market jointly.

"Our joint innovative customer focus allows us to approach the challenges posed by the international economic crisis in a targeted manner and to master them," Dr. Rüdiger Kapitza, the chairman of the GILDEMEISTER Executive Board, explained as the reasons for the joint USA approach, which follows on from cooperation activities that have already been successfully implemented in other markets.

At DIEMOULD 2010 Mumbai, DMG will showcase a selection of CNC metal cutting machine tools tailored to the Indian mould making industry. All exhibits will be live cutting including the vertical machining centre DMC 835 V, the newly released entry level 5-axis machining center DMU 50 eco and the universal lathe CTX 310 eco. High-tech expertise in 5-axis simultaneous milling from DECKEL MAHO are the universal milling machines DMU 40 monoBLOCK ®, the DMU 60 P duoBLOCK® and the high speed cutting machining center HSC 20 linear.
