MAHLE Filter Systems India Ltd commences production at Parwanoo Plant II Print E-mail

Parwanoo : MAHLE Filter Systems India (MFSI), a manufacturer,exporter and OEM supplier in the Filtration industry in India, has commenced production at its Parwanoo Plant II on the 19th March,2010.

The Parwanoo Plant - II with a Capital Investment at about Rs 60 million in building, plant and Machinery, and a Installed Capacity expected at 22 million filters per annum, will cater to a new Product range utilising enhanced technology to service  requirements of MFSI’s existing and new customers like Tata Motors, M&M, and Bosch.

MAHLE Filter Systems India, a joint venture between the MAHLE Group of Germany and Anand Automotive Systems, India, already has three plants at Parwanoo, Gurgaon and Pune, with a total annual revenue of Rs 300 crore in 2008-09.

The new plant will also cater to the requirements of the replacement market in India and for exports.

In its initial stage, this plant is slated to generate direct and indirect employment for more than 150 people, and will manufacture  PU Moulded Air filter elements, Ecological Plastic Embedded filter elements and Lube Oil filters with new crimping design.

The process in the plant will include PU Moulding of elements, Filter Paper Embedment into Plastic and Felt media and a  Crimping process for sheet metal parts.

"We have completed installation of this new facility within stipulated timelines and are now looking foward to rolling out a range of high quality products to satisfy our customer needs. We also hope to provide more jobs with increased production in due course of time," said Sunil Nair, COO of MAHLE filter systems India Limited, emphasizing the Company's commitment towards the State of Himachal Pradesh.

The foundation stone laying ceremony for this plant was earlier graced by Shri Kishan Kapoor, Hon’ble Minister for Industries, Himachal Pradesh in August 2009.
