Mahindra Ugine Steel Company to set up new manufacturing unit in Pantnagar Print E-mail

Mumbai: Mahindra Ugine Steel Company Ltd, a subsidiary of Mahindra and Mahindra, will set up a new manufacturing unit of its Stamping Division in Pantnagar near Rudrapur, Uttarakhand.

The Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on March 26, 2010, approved the proposal of incurring a capital expenditure of about Rs. 36.65 crores for setting up of new manufacturing unit. The Board of Directors of the Company also approved the Budget for the Financial Year 2011-13.

The proposed new stamping unit is being set up to meet the demand of stamping Components of automotive business situated in and around Pantnagar and Rudrapur.

The demand is being generated from companieslike Tata Motors Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra Auto Sector and Mahindra & Mahindra Farm Equipment Sector, etc.
