Veesons Energy Systems ties up with Osmo Kaulamo, Finland for CFBC boilers Print E-mail

Veesons Energy Systems Pvt. Ltd., a boiler and power plant manufacturer based in Trichy, entered into a technical collaboration with Osmo Kaulamo Engineering Oy (OKE), Finland for manufacturing circulating fluidised bed combustion (CFBC) boilers and chemical recovery boilers.

The company will be investing Rs 100 to Rs 150 crore in the next three years. During the current fiscal, it will set up a new manufacturing unit at Raipur in Chhattisgarh, to cater to customers in the northern and western part of the country. The company has also decided to shift its Corporate Office to Chennai.

Going forward, Veesons which currently employs more than 1000 people, plans to manufacture CFBC Boilers, Pulverised Coal Fired Utility Boilers, HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator), effluent waste fired boilers and MSW (Municipal Solid Waste) fired boilers.

It plans to add Utility boilers required for power plants up to 200 MW to it's product portfolio soon.

V Ramakrishnan, Managing Director, Veesons Energy Systems Pvt. Ltd. said that the company was open to raising money from private equity funds.

In 2009-10, the company's turnover went up 40 per cent to Rs. 162 crore. This fiscal, the company is expected to register a turnover of 250 crore. It is targeting a turnover of Rs 1000 crore by 2015.

The company is also eyeing orders from industries in South East Asian markets like Thailand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh besides South Africa. Exports are expected to constitute 35 per cent of this year's turnover. It has received export orders from South East Asia, including three 200 TPH boilers for sugar industries valued at more than Rs. 110 crore.

Veesons has also developed, jointly with Avantgarde, a boiler design which can be fired with distillery effluent. For this it is expecting an order from Kenya and is hopeful of receiving orders from Indian distilleries.

Veesons started as a vendor for Bhel, Trichy 30 years ago. It is now ISO 9001 certified and has obtained ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) S & U Stamps.
