Steel Strips Wheels to supply tractor wheel rims to Turk Traktor |

Mumbai: Steel Strips Wheels Ltd has been selected as a supplier of tractor wheel rims to Turk Traktor (Turkey), a joint venture of KOC Holding and CNH Global NV.
Turk Traktor, which is now the largest manufacturer of tractors in Turkey having about 55% domestic market share, has placed an initial order for 4000 wheel rims to be developed for one of their tractor models. It is also considering the company for more sizes of wheel rims, which could translate into substantially greater volume than the initial order.
This is the company's second tractor wheels export order after Kubota Thailand and Japan, to which it is successfully supplying around 48000 wheels per year.
Steel Strips Wheels Ltd's sales were up 24.17 percent to Rs 418.46 crore in the year ended March 2010 as against Rs 317.31 crore during the previous year ended March 2009.
Steel Strips Wheels Ltd recorded a net profit of Rs 14.35 crore in the year ended March 2010 as against a net profit of Rs 7.79 crore during the previous year ended March 2009. |
