A M Ganguly & F G Leo appointed MDs of American Axle & Manufacturing in India Print E-mail

Pune: American Axle & Manufacturing, Inc has appointed Richard H. Rossman, who previously served as managing director, AAM - India, as executive director, Special Projects of American Axle & Manufacturing, Inc.

Anand M. Ganguly and Francis G. Leo have been appointed as co-managing directors of American Axle & Manufacturing in India. Ganguly previously served as Head of Operations, AAM - India. Leo previously served as executive director, Strategic & Business Development.

The company has a joint venture with Sona Koyo Steering Systems Limited. AAM Sona Axle Private Limited, which began operations in 2008, manufactures axle assemblies for light trucks, passenger cars and SUVs for the Indian market. The Corporate Headquarters of AAM Sona is located in Pune, India, and the manufacturing facility is in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand in north India.

In addition to this, it's Pune Manufacturing Facility - AAM INDIA Manufacturing Corporation Private Limited is located in Supa, 90 kilometers east of Pune, India. The 90,000 squarefoot facility, which became operational in the fourth quarter of 2009, manufactures axle assemblies for heavy commercial vehicles.

AAM's Pune Business Office & Engineering Center provides product design & development, IT and procurement services. This office allows AAM to utilize its engineering and IT capabilities 24 hours a day and further expands AAM's global presence in the Asian Region.

AAM is involved in the manufacture, engineering, design and validation of driveline and drivetrain systems and related components and modules, chassis systems and metal-formed products for trucks, sport utility vehicles, passenger cars and crossover utility vehicles.
