Hindustan Dorr-Oliver to build desalination plant for DAE's Zirconium Complex Print E-mail

Mumbai: Hindustan Dorr-Oliver has bagged an order worth about Rs. 14 crore, from Government of India (GoI), Department of Atomic Energy to design, engineer , manufacture and construct a desalination plant at the Department of Atomic Energy, 'Zirconium Complex' at Pazhayakayal near Tuticorin.

The desalination plant shall process sea water and produce industrial grade water meeting stringent quality requirements. The company will execute this contract with it's own in-house technology on Lump Sum Turn Key (LSTK) basis.

The project is expected to be completed within a period of 12 months.

Hindustan Dorr-Oliver has executed similar projects in the past for many industries. HDO is a leading Engineering EPC player in diversified business areas like Minerals and metals, Water, Fertilisers and Paper and Pulp on "concept to commissioning basis". It has a huge state of art manufacturing facility in Vatva, Ahmedabad where it manufactures all equipments required for its EPC business and also manufactures Heat Exchangers and Pressure Vessels for Hydrocarbon sector.
