Industrial Filters commissions India's first Technical felts unit in Indore Print E-mail

Indore: Industrial Filters & Fabrics (IFF),a manufacturer of filter products, today commissioned India’s first Technical Nonwoven unit in Indore. The unit has an installed capacity of 100,000 liner meters.

The inauguration of the manufacturing unit was attended by senior representatives from various industries. This manufacturing unit replaces the need to import technical nonwoven felts and strengthens the company’s backward integration chain by producing world class products in India. IFF filter products are supplied to almost all major Cement, Steel, Aluminum, Carbon Black, Chemical Plants, Power Plants and Fertilizer Units.

IFF’s investment will deepen its foothold in the territory and act as a catalyst in expanding the market in India. The importance of the Indian market is also reflected through IFF’s rapidly growing engineering capability in Indore. IFF’s comprehensive filtrating solutions will position them to meet the growing needs of various sectors and make India self reliant.

Keeping in line with the overall expansion strategy and in order to meet the growing demands of filter product, IFF indigenously manufactured India’s first Nonwoven Felts.

Speaking on the occasion, Pradeep Maheshwari, Managing Director Industrial Filters & Fabrics said, "The Filtration industry is growing at a fast pace with corporates & the government putting across measures to curtail environmental damage through industrial waste. Technical non-woven felts are used as filter intermediary; Fabric used to separate dust particulates from dusty gases. They are one of the most efficient and cost effective types of dust collectors available and can achieve a collection efficiency of more than 99% for very fine particulates emitted by various industries cement, steel, aluminum, carbon black, chemical, power generation & fertilizer.

Headquartered in Indore, IFF has over 100,000 sq.ft of an advanced automated production facility for Filter Bags and Cages. Today IFF stands as the largest in filter bag and cage manufacturing service provider in Asia. IFF was the first filter bag and cage manufacturing company in India to receive the ISO 9001:2008 certifications.
