RS Thakur appointed Managing Director and CEO of Tata AutoComp Systems Print E-mail

Mumbai: The board of directors of Tata AutoComp Systems (Tata AutoComp) have decided to elevate RS Thakur as the managing director and chief executive officer of the company.

"This comes in as recognition of his efforts in turning around and building Tata AutoComp into a strong organisation. Under the leadership of Mr Thakur, the Tata AutoComp group has not only been able to sail through the tough recessionary times, but posted consistent high growth and good profits," the company said in a statement.

Tata AutoComp Systems Limited, promoted by the Tata Group, provides products and services to the Indian and Global automotive OEMs as well as Tier 1 suppliers.

Its clients include Ashok Leyland, BMW, Fiat, Force Motors, Ford Motors India, General Motors India, Honda, John Deere, Mahindra & Mahindra, Mahindra-Navistar, Man, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Piaggio, Renault, Tata Motors, Toyota Kirloskar Motors Limited, Volkswagen and Volvo-Eicher.

Tata AutoComp has its own capabilities in Automotive Interior and Exterior Plastics, Composites and Engineering. It has 6 joint ventures in partnership with companies from the Global Auto Component Industry and has over 40 manufacturing facilities spread across India and China.
