Bajaj Auto to close the year with export of 1.2 million units Print E-mail

Pune: Bajaj Auto Ltd., India’s second largest motorcycle manufacturer and the world’s largest producer of 3 wheelers, crossed the 1 Million mark in vehicle exports for the current year.

Bajaj Auto’s international business has already clocked a growth of 35% in volume terms and expects to close the year with exports of 1.2 Mn. units and USD 1 billion revenue.

In the last 5 years the company has increased its exports of motorcycle 6 times & commercial vehicles three times. The company confirmed that both the categories of motorcycles and CV and its entire brand portfolio of Pulsar, Discover, Boxer & RE, are on the growth path. During the year, they launched the Pulsar 135 LS & the Discover 150, both of which have been successes.

Bajaj Auto enjoys a diversified market base and is present in over 36 countries in emerging markets like African, Asian & Latin American regions. While Africa accounts for almost 50% of its exports, Asia and Latin America for 34% and 15% respectively. The company stated that its performance is ahead of the market growth in most of its markets.
