Mumbai: Adroit Industries India Limited (AIIL) plans to scale up it's operations and set up new manufacturing unit for producing propeller shafts and associated components at the Special Economic Zone in the Dhar district, Pithampur (Madhya Pradesh). The company has chalked out a capex of Rs 59.30 crores to set up this unit, which will have an installed capacity of 810000 components per annum.

It already has 3 manufacturing units in Madhya Pradesh with production capacity of 270000 units per annum. As a part of it's expansion plans the capacities of the existing units will be raised to 360000 units per annum.

Once the fourth unit is comissioned the total combined capacity will go up to 11,70,000 components per annum.

Through this expansion, the company plans to introduce a new range of products and tap new markets globally. So far the company was able to serve only a limited number of clients, due to capacity constraints.

For the expansion project the company will hire an additional 718 employees. Currently, the company employs around 495 people at it's existing units.

AIIL plans to raise Rs.50 Cr through an IPO. Currently it's promoters (Signet Industries Ltd, Mukesh Sangla, Saurabh Sangla) and promoter group hold 99.95% stake in the company.

The company plans to purchase new plant and machineries for the expansion plan through this issue.

AIIL plans to invest Rs 45.19 crores in Plant & Machinery. The Company is yet to place orders for Rs 43.47 crores (96.19% of the plant & machinery cost). These orders will be placed on receipt of the proceeds of the issue.

The two units in Indore produce Propeller Shafts and its components while the Dewas unit of the company produces Forgings and Dies. AIIL has in house Forging, Forging-Die manufacturing, machining, Assembly, Inspection, Dynamic Balancing & Testing facilities for manufacturing Propeller Shafts & its Components.

The new facility will manufacture propeller shafts and components which will be used in Automotive (Complete range from light to heavy commercial vehicles, passenger car vehicles, heavy earth-moving equipments, engine test cell equipments etc.), Locomotive (Railway rolling stock, railway track maintenance machinery etc.) Industrial (Steel and rolling mills, woodworking machinery, papermaking machinery etc.), Agricultural (Water sewage treatment works, pump drives.), Marine & Other sectors.

The company possesses the required equipments and machineries for manufacturing the components of propeller shafts like Universal Joint, Slip Yoke, Weld Yoke, End Yoke, Companion Flange & Flange Yoke, Tube, Stub Shaft, etc. and for assembling the propeller shafts. All the Components are made from Forging and machined afterwards. Various components assemble together to form Propeller Shaft.
