Tecumseh begins export of outdoor condensing units from Hyderabad facility Print E-mail

Hyderabad: Tecumseh Products India Pvt Ltd has begun exporting outdoor condensing units for air conditioners from its Hyderabad facility. The company is the largest independent manufacturer of Hermetic Compressors, condensing units and outdoor units in India with more than 60% of its earnings from exports.

Tecumseh has developed a new line of outdoor condensing units at its plant in Hyderabad with an initial capacity of 1,50,000 units per annum. The company estimates that this segment will grow significantly in the next three years with a primary focus on exports.

The first consignment of an export order to Dubai was flagged-off by Mr Michael Noelke, Executive Vice President - Sales, Marketing and Engineering, Tecumseh Products Company, USA.

"Local customisation of products is one of Tecumseh's core strengths and in this particular case the combination of our compressor and application knowledge makes this a natural extension of our product portfolio," said Michael Noelke.

"This new product has been the result of extensive market research where we have incorporated many new and exciting features that will help meet the highly diverse requirements in India and the Middle East," said Raghavan Ravi, Managing Director, Tecumseh India.

These outdoor units come with both heating and cooling options and will be sold by through Tecumseh's channel partners, as well as private-label for leading global brands.
