Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd inks License Agreement with Daihatsu Diesel, Japan Print E-mail

Mumbai: Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd has entered into a License Agreement with Daihatsu Diesel Manufacturing Company Limited, Japan, for manufacture of diesel engines in range of 610 KW to 2560 KW, to cater to the Commercial Marine Market segment.

Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd has dedicated engine manufacturing units at Khadki, Kagal and Rajkot. It's current product range includes Diesel Engines, Irrigation Pump sets and Diesel Generating Sets.

The effective date of this agreement is subject to the necessary approvals and permissions.

Sometime back, the engines and auto components business of Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited (now known as Kirloskar Industries Limited) was transferred and vested with the Company. The Company was incorporated with the primary objective of taking over of ‘Engine and Auto Component business’ of Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited (now known as Kirloskar Industries Limited). After restructring the company has 2 major lines of busiess - Power generation engines business and the Agri & off highway engines business.
