Bangalore: Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation and Infotech Enterprises Ltd have inaugurated an engineering center for aircraft systems software and electronics analysis, design and development in Bangalore.

"This new center of excellence builds on the relationship Hamilton Sundstrand established with Infotech in 2005," said Hamilton Sundstrand President Alain Bellemare.

Hamilton Sundstrand selected Infotech as its supplier for the Embedded Systems Software and Electronics (ESSE) center of excellence in December 2009. The ESSE center began operation in 2010 and now employs nearly 100 software and electronics engineers. The center could employ up to 300 people over the next few years.

"We have found Infotech to be a great team player and we are confident this agreement will help us stay competitive in the global aerospace market," Bellemare said.

"We are very proud that Hamilton Sundstrand continues to place its trust in us," said Infotech Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mohan Reddy. "We are absolutely committed to meeting all of their expectations."

Hamilton Sundstrand is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp.
