Royal DSM N.V. implements new structure for its Indian activities Print E-mail

Pune: Dutch Group Royal DSM N.V. has implemented a new structure for its Indian activities in the Performance Materials cluster. The company will bring three of DSM's Business groups in the cluster- DSM Engineering Plastics, DSM Dyneema and DSM Composites - under DSM (India) Pvt Ltd.

DSM (India) Pvt. Ltd. will be headed by CEO & Managing Director Rajiv Chopra, responsible for the total business in India. "The DSM strategy in India is to build its business in the material science and life sciences," said Rajiv Chopra, CEO and Managing Director DSM India Pvt. Ltd.

"DSM will be investing in setting up an Innovation Center in Delhi. As an organisation, we have set ourselves ambitious targets for the next strategy period. DSM focuses on, and accelerates, growth. The company has high aspirations, based on an assessment of the opportunities, particularly in the High Growth Economies (HGE). Being a High Growth Economy, India is a key high-growth market for us and part of DSM’s global sales targets from 32 % to 50% of sales from HGE in 2015," he added.

DSM Engineering Plastics will now be headed by Sanjay Jain. He was formerly Director Sales, Asia Pacific for DSM Engineering Plastics and based at Shanghai. DSM Composites will be headed by Ajay Patwardhan. Both Business Groups will be located at Pune.

DSM Dyneema will continue as it is and will be managed by a team of business development managers, based at Mumbai.

The Corporate office will be at Delhi (Gurgaon), where Rajiv Chopra will guide the three business groups in consonance with the strategy of Royal DSM; DSM in motion, driving focused growth.
