Bosch Limited's Diesel business grows 37 % in Q1 CY 2011 |

Bangalore: Bosch Limited has registered a revenue growth of 31.1% in the first quarter of 2011 compared with the same period of last year. The Diesel Systems business posted a growth of 37%. Other businesses namely Automotive Aftermarket, Power Tools and Security Technology divisions also saw robust double digit growth of 22.7%, 29.2% and 41.2% respectively. Gasoline Systems division clocked growth of 9.9%.
Net sales and income from operations in the first quarter of the year stands at Rs.2,072.7 crores which is 31.1% higher than the corresponding period in 2010. Profit before tax is Rs.404.1 crores (19.5% of nets sales and operating income from operations), an increase of 38.4% compared to the same period last year. Profit after tax is Rs.274.4 crores (13.2% of nets sales and operating income from operations) showing an increase of 35.4% compared to the same period last year.
The operating profit has increased by 39.9% over the previous three months. The increase in interest income in particular has been due to higher interest rates. Overall, good growth has continued in the first quarter of this year as well.
