New Delhi: Lohia Auto Industries, a Strategic Business Unit of the NK Lohia promoted Lohia Group, is planning to launch its new three-wheeler model both in the diesel and the CNG (Compressed Natural Gases) variant this financial year. This will be the company's first offering in the three-wheeler market segment.

"We have plans to expand our business by stepping into the three wheeler market. We look forward to launch products that are highly competitive to the existing product segment. Our vehicles will be compatible to meet the Bharat Stage 3 emission Standards," said Ayush Lohia, CEO, Lohia Auto Industries.

Lohia Auto has a manufacturing plant in Kashipur, Uttrakhand with the capacity to produce 1000 units a day. With the new launches, Lohia Auto plans to be a significant player in three wheeler segment.

"We are in the process of appointing dealerships across Northern India and we will be moving towards the South by this fiscal itself," Ayush Lohia said.

The company has already introduced four electric bikes in the market named, OMA, OMA Star, OMA Star DX and Fame.

The new three-wheeler models will be available in passenger as well as commercial vehicle segment. The company plans to make cost effective three wheelers which would in turn lead to lesser commuting expenses.
