Rajeev Chaba Named Shanghai GM & GM China Vice President Print E-mail

Rajeev Chaba has been appointed Vice President, Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing, for Shanghai GM and GM China, effective today.

Chaba is in charge of the development of the joint venture’s sales and aftersales strategy across along with his fellow Shanghai GM Vice President, Cai Bin. He will also work with GM’s other joint ventures and local partners and serve on Shanghai GM’s Executive Committee. He reports to GM China Vice President Joseph Liu.

Chaba, who most recently served as Managing Director, GM North Africa and GM Egypt, has played a key role in GM’s growth in his native and elsewhere since joining GM in 1995. Chaba began his career as National Marketing Manager for GM India. He later served as General Manager of Sales and Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Aftersales for GM India.

He moved to GM Japan as Director of Sales and Marketing prior to being appointed GM India’s Chief Operating Officer. Chaba later oversaw GM’s growth in two key emerging markets as Chairman and Managing Director of GM India and GM Egypt.
