Suzlon bags Rs 650 crore order for turbines from Orient Green Power Print E-mail

Mumbai: Suzlon Energy has received a Rs 650 crore order from Chennai-based Orient Green Power Company to supply turbines for projects with a cumulative capacity of over 100 MW.

The order involves supply of 48 Suzlon wind turbine units. The first project in Gujarat will have a capacity of 50.4 MW and will be commissioned by May 2012, while the second 50.4 MW project in Karnataka is scheduled for implementation by June 2012.

OGPL is a subsidiary of the Shriram EPC Group, with a primary focus on wind energy. The company has over 198 MW of wind assets already operational.
