Wabco India Wins Two Excellence Awards from Tata Motors Print E-mail

Chennai: Wabco India, supplier of safety and control systems for commercial vehicles, has been honored with two excellence awards from Tata Motors, India's largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles. Tata Motors has recognized Wabco for "Excellence in Technology and Innovation" and "Excellence in Quality."

Wabco currently supplies Tata Motors with an extensive range of products and systems related to braking as well as air generation and management for trucks and buses. "Winning two top awards from Tata Motors further demonstrates Wabco's leading position in India as we create value for customers through our world-class local manufacturing facilities and access to our global engineering network," said Leon Liu, Wabco President, Asia.

"Tata Motors is a leader in the global commercial vehicle industry, and their prestigious awards are major acknowledgements of Wabco's passion for technology, innovation and quality, particularly in growing markets like India," he added.

These awards were recently presented in Mumbai and recognize performance during the 2010-2011 fiscal year.

"We are passionate about furthering our mutual success through technology leadership, globalization of our capabilities, and continued excellence in the delivery of Wabco products and services," said P. Kaniappan, Managing Director, Wabco India.

Tata Motors is the world's fourth largest truck manufacturer and the world's second largest bus manufacturer.
