B.V.R Mohan Reddy receives ASME Leadership Award 2011 Print E-mail

Hyderabad: B.V.R Mohan Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director, Infotech Enterprises Ltd, has been recognized by  American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for the Leadership Award 2011 - Computers and Information in Engineering Division (CIE).

He is the first Indian and the seventh recipient to receive this award. Others who received this award in the past include Rodney Dreisbach, The Boeing Company and John Sculley, Apple Computers.

Reddy is acknowledged for his pioneering efforts in providing leading edge engineering services in industries such as aerospace, transportation, telecommunications, energy, and hi-tech. He has also played a pivotal role in establishing the 'Engineered in India' proposition, which has helped build a world class knowledge-based industry leveraging quality Indian talent.

"Engineering is my passion and my dream has turned true in creating an enterprise that is a global leader in Engineering services. We work with the leaders in the respective manufacturing industries to provide innovative solutions together for a better future. This recognition is an acknowledgement of the dedication and commitment of over 9000 engineers of Infotech," said Reddy.

He holds a Masters in Management Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA and in Industrial Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur. He is a Graduate with a gold medal in Mechanical Engineering from Andhra University, Andhra Pradesh, India.

American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Leadership award, instituted in 1987, recognizes an individual in industry or government for outstanding leadership in advancing the use of computers in engineering practice. This is the industry's most prestigious global award in the engineering domain.
