HEC Ranchi inks MoUs with Vitkovice and INCO Engineering of Czech Republic Print E-mail

New Delhi: Heavy Engineering Corporation Ltd., Ranchi has inked two Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with Vitkovice a.s. and INCO Engineering s.ro. of the Czech Republic.

Vitkovice and HEC have agreed to cooperate for mutual interest and successful working in the areas of Steel Plant Equipments, Thermal & Nuclear Power Plants and Shafting for Naval Ships. Vitkovice will also Transfer Technology for Special Steel making for forgings and castings of Nuclear and Thermal Power Plants.

INCO manufactures and supplies complete technology and equipment for vertical transport in underground mines. HEC and INCO have agreed to associate themselves for promoting and selling the products / services designed & engineered by INCO in the Indian market. HEC has agreed to provide its work shop facility for full support for manufacturing of mechanical parts.

G K Pillai, CMD, HEC made a corporate business presentation before the Czech Industry minister highlighting the areas of operation and HEC's interest areas for future co-operation in machine tools, new mining machines and special types of gear boxes.

The MoUs were signed in New Delhi by G.K. Pillai, CMD, HEC, Dalibor Fabian, Commercial Director, Vitkovice a.s. and Jiri Hoch, Head of Legal Department of INCO Engineering s.ro. Miloslav Stasek, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to India, Milan Hovorka, Deputy Minister of Trade, Martin Dvorak, Director of Bilateral Commerce Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and S. Sundareshan, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises were present during the Signing Ceremony along with Senior Officials of DHI & PE, GoI, Vitkovice, INCO Engineering & HEC.

A business-to-business meeting with Czech companies was organized by the Czech embassy, where many Czech companies showed their interest for collaboration with HEC. HEC was also invited to join the meeting of Minister of Coal Shri Prakash Jaiswal for areas of co-operation between Mining equipment companies of India with the Czech companies. Shri Alok Perti Secretary Coal, Ms Zohra Chatterji, Additional Secretary Coal, Shri V.N.Prasad , Director, Technical, Ministry of Coal, Shri N.C.Jha , Chairman Coal India, Shri G.K.Pillai, Shri A.R.A Ansari CMD Neyveli Lignite were present in the meeting. Czech companies expressed their full support for working jointly with state companies for underground mining equipments as well for surface mining.
