Automotive Axles establishes Contract Manufacturing Facility at Greater Noida Print E-mail

Mumbai: Automotive Axles, Ltd. (AAL), a joint venture of Kalyani Group and Meritor Inc., has established a Contract Manufacturing Facility for producing Trailer Axles at Greater Noida, with the plant and inventories purchased from ANG Industries Ltd.

AAL produces a wide range of rear drive axles for commercial vehicles ranging from six tons to 35 tons GCW; S-Cam actuated quick change air brakes for commercial vehicles and trailer axles for 10 tons to 13 tons GVW. The company is the largest independent manufacturer of rear drive axle assemblies in India.

Automotive Axles Limited (AAL) was established in 1981 as a joint venture of Kalyani Group and Meritor, Inc. Its manufacturing facilities are located in Mysore.

ANG Industries Ltd sold its Trailer Axle Division situated at 19, Udyog Vihar, Distt. Gautam Budh Nagar, Greater Noida (U.P.) along with related Plant and Machineries, inventories and other assets to Automotive Axle Ltd (AAL) and Mentor Heavy Vehicle System India Ltd (MHVSIL). The plant was manufacturing worm gear sets and cylinder blocks and was ISO 14001:2004 and TS16949 certified.

ANG Industries is a diversified engineering and manufacturing company with interest in heavy structural fabrication, tractor trailers, specialised containers and automotive components for heavy commercial vehicles.
