P.V. Deshmukh will be Officiating Chairman, HAL Print E-mail

Bangalore: P.V Deshmukh, Managing Director, MiG Complex, from HAL’s Nasik unit,  will assume charge as the Officiating Chairman of Defence Public Sector Undertaking - Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) on 01st Nov 2011.  In addition, he will continue to hold his current post of Managing Director (MiG Complex).

Ashok Nayak, after 38 years with Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd, will step down on October 31.

HAL, with its Corporate Office at Bangalore, Karnataka and its Production and Design Divisions at Hyderabad, Ojhar (Nasik), Lucknow, Kanpur, Korwa, Koraput and Barrackpore, has approximately 33,000 permanent workforce and a turnover of Rs.11,250/- crores. 

PV Deshmukh was the Chief Guest on the occasion of Vigilance Awareness Week 2011, which is being celebrated this week.

The Vigilance Department of HAL is committed to spread vigilance awareness in the Company and contribute towards its vision to become a global participant in the aviation sector.  In order to achieve this, the Vigilance Department has taken several initiatives suo moto to spread awareness through the publication of in house magazine, Marg Darshan and a fortnightly bulletin V2 (Voice of Vigilance) which covers policy matters on material procurement, maintenance, works and manpower, etc.  Regular education drives for executives and non-executives in core areas of procurement and dissemination of the initiatives of the Central Vigilance Commission to leverage technology for a transparent, impartial, fair and prompt action to fulfill its obligations towards all its stakeholders are a regular feature.
