Mahindra ramping up XUV5OO production at its plant in Chakan |

Mumbai: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd is in the process of ramping up production at its plant in Chakan which will enable it to re-open bookings next month. The production for the XUV5OO is as per schedule.
Mahindra had sold out 4 months production of the XUV5OO and had hence temporarily deferred new bookings since October 11th across the 5 centres of Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Bengaluru and Chennai. Mahindra expects to complete deliveries of these bookings by January 2012.
The XUV5OO had received over 8000 bookings in just 10 days, making it one of the most overwhelming responses to a new car launch in recent times.
The company began with an initial capacity to produce 2,000 units per month at its Chakan plant. |
