Jamna Auto buys Tata Motors` leaf manufacturing facility Print E-mail

 CHENNAI: Jamna Auto Industries announced that the company acquired the leaf manufacturing facilities of Tata Motors at Jamshedpur and entered into strategic supply arrangement with them.

 Jamna Auto is a part of the Jai group and manufactures automobile springs, spring leaves and automobile coil springs (hot formed). Jamna Auto supplies to all major manufacturers of commercial vehicles in India and dominates the domestic market with a share of 60 per cent.
 Chief executive officer, Randeep Jauhar said that the company was also setting up an additional manufacturing facility for leaf and parabolic springs for supplying to Tata Motors’ world truck project and for export purposes.

 Pradeep Jauhar, COO, Jamna Auto said that the company is in the process of merging Jai Parabolic Springs, another group company in Chennai with MAP Springs, involved in marketing springs and auto products

Shares of the company declined Rs 0.9, or 1.72%, to settle at Rs 51.35. The total volume of shares traded was 20,516 at the BSE. (Wednesday)
