Once again WALTER AG will present a world first: the TITEX X-treme PLUS solid carbide drill with a patented double coating (DPL–Double Performance Line). The new internally cooled high performance drill covers the diameter range 3...20mm and will for the first time be available for drilling depths up to 5xD.

The innovative double coating is composed of a primer, which acts as a protective and undercoating, and an additional top coating. As a result, the cutting edges are even more wear resistant.

Thanks to the double coating, extremely high cutting data are achieved and in the case of conventional cutting data, the tool service life is significantly increased. Also new is the point design of the X—treme PLUS solid carbide drill with optimised micro geometry for a low power consumption and outstanding surface qualities. The customers thus receive a new generation of solid carbide drills with a great potential for more productivity.

The application options of the tool are extremely diverse, all types of steels (also stainless), cast iron materials and non-ferrous metals can be processed. The drill with internal coolant supply is suitable for use with minimum lubrication. The user target groups are predominantly found in general machine construction and line production, e.g. in the automotive industry.

Double coating for double the performance
The TITEX X-treme PLUS has a patented double coating, composed of an undercoating and a top coating for maximum performance.
