Bangalore, 6th February, ’08: Tool and Gauge Manufacturers Association (TAGMA) and Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) today announced the launch of their prestigious industry exhibitions – “DIEMOULD INDIA 2008” and “Tooltech 2008”. The four-day exhibition will be held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bangalore starting from 15 February 2008. This mammoth event will address a market of size more than $ 4.5 billion.

DIEMOULD TOOLTECHThe 6th edition of DIEMOULD INDIA 2008 is the largest international exhibition in India covering the tool room Industry. 273 exhibitors from 17 countries will occupy a display area of 1,54,500 square feet. Some of the countries participating in the exhibition are Australia, Canada, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States, etc. There will also be international pavilions from China, Germany and Singapore.

The 10th edition of Tooltech 2008, a unique international exhibition in South & South East Asia, is a ‘B2B’ event featuring newest trends in cutting tools, tooling technologies, production aids, machine tool accessories, metrology, and CAD-CAM equipment & software. 106 exhibitors from 13 countries including a country-group participation from Germany, will exhibit products valued over Rs. 4 crore over an exhibition area of 23,000 square feet. The exhibition will enable manufacturing industry to witness newest global trends and to gauge future technologies that are likely to shape up in this segment.

Launching DIEMOULD INDIA 2008, Mr. N. Reguraj, Past President of TAGMA & Managing Director, NTTF Industries Limited said, “Tool room industry is growing at an annual rate of 25 %. DIEMOULD INDIA, the premier exhibition of the industry, has grown manifold in the last ten years. The exhibition space at DMI 2008 is twice as big as the previous fair in DMI 2006, and four times larger in international participation. High quality of visitors with specific purpose covers all the major industry sectors. The exhibition will witness participation at various levels from industries like auto & auto ancillary, consumer durable, engineering, electronics, etc.

Launching Tooltech 2008, Mr. C. P. Rangachar, Immediate Past President of IMTMA & Managing Director, Yuken India Limited said, “Machine tool industry is witnessing an exponential growth since 2003. Tooltech is one of our initiatives to accomplish our catalytic role in enhancing competitiveness of the industry. Tooltech 2008 not only offers a forum for interaction but also is a place where purchase decisions and investment plans can be firmed up. It is an exhibition with great focus on creating value for our customers.”


Established in 1990, TAGMA has 450 members – all leading Indian tool rooms with ISO 9001 certification. The association organises delegations, seminars, workshops, exhibitions, etc. across the country. The association aims to promote training and the diffusion of knowledge in the industry for achieving greater efficiency. The association is headquartered in Mumbai and with registered office in Bangalore, and chapters in Chennai and Pune.
