Bangalore: BFW has launched a Vertical Turret Lathe series, Sudarshan. Constructed on single solid casting rather than on elements welded together, Sudarshan is a stable and rigid quality product.

Sudarshan was formally inaugurated at the INTEC 2008 at Coimbatore on February 1, 2008 by Mr SV Jagadesan, Managing Director, Indo Shell Cast. Indo Shell Cast was one of the first recipients of BFW’s BMV series vertical machining centers in the area years ago.

BFWSudarshan Model VTL 800

Basic specifications
Maximum turning diameter : 800 mm (for 190 L)
Maximum turning length : 800 mm
Standard turning diameter : 500 mm
Spindle motor power (contd/ S3-30 min) : 22/30 kW

Motor bodies, gearbox housings, pump casings, brake drums, compressor cylinders, bull gears, pump impellers, undercarriage parts for railways – the list of components machined on Sudarshan is endless! The more complicated the component is; the greater are the chances of obtaining the right solution through Sudarshan.

It really does not matter whether the component is made of steel, CI, aluminium, or some other commonly used alloy – Sudarshan does justice to a diverse selection of metals!

BFW"Turning, boring, threading, drilling, keyway milling, or a combination of some or all of these operations; Sudarshan is designed to give an advantage every time!"
