Mumbai : Italy's Tenova has finalized the set up of Tenova Multiform, an Indian joint venture established by Tenova and the Indian Company Multiform Machinery. Tenova's Strip Processing Business Unit together with Tenova Multiform is planning to establish a local center for process lines and cold mills, based on Tenova Multiform’s engineering competences, product know-how and manufacturing capability.

Multiform Machinery is an Indian supplier of cold rolling mills and strip processing lines, headquartered in Mumbai, where its production facilities are located.

With the addition of Multiform to its team, Tenova will consolidate and strengthen its position in India where it is already present with LOI Wesman, TAKRAF India and Hypertherm (an Indian joint venture in the LOI Italimpianti).

"India, which is set to become the world’s second steel producer after China, is a very interesting market for Tenova, and for the Strip Processing Business Unit in particular. Tenova Multiform will benefit from being part of Tenova’s vast global resources network as it will provide Tenova Multiform a springboard for growth and to meet increasingly ambitious challenges," said a statement issued by Tenova.

Tenova designs and supplies advanced technologies, products and services for the metals and mining industries. Tenova operates close to its customers through a network of 31 companies based on the 5 continents.
